๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Forbach – Schlossberg

We visit the Schlossberg Park and Castle in Forbach, and climb the Saareck Tower (328 meters high, 118 steps).
The Schlossberg Castle site dates back to the 11th or 12th century. It was transformed many times since then, destroyed in 1635 during the Thirty Years’ War, and then bought by local industrialist Gustave Adt, who undertook archaeological excavations there.
The “Knights’ Hall” allows visitors to discover medieval architecture.
Schlossberg Park also houses the Schlossberg Restaurant and the Burghof Conference Center.
