It’s time to leave, unfortunately. We had a wonderful vacation in Gérardmer despite the weather. I can’t recommend the Aigle des Neiges chalet again, a marvel.
We’re off to our next destination, still in the Vosges Mountains, but in Alsace, near Orbey.
We pass by the Intermarché supermarket in the town center, and we can see a historic industrial relic, the old chimney of the Kléber de l’Enclos sawmill. It’s a visual landmark and an emblem of the town, a testament to the town’s industrial (woodworking) past.
Five days at Lake Gérardmer. I present to you all my photos and videos of the lake in 60 seconds.
Here, the weather truly changes every five minutes; every moment offers a completely different ambiance and atmosphere.
Between the mysterious morning mist, the magnificent sunsets, the blue hour between dusk and dawn, the gray hues, the night view with the stars…
There’s nothing to say, the Vosges are magnificent, and I can only recommend you come there, but above all, try to find a chalet or hotel with a view of the lake (there are plenty to choose from).
* All videos were taken with my old iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I used the BlauTime app to get the solar times.
Departing from Gérardmer, we set off towards the Auberge Le Blancrupt, at the Lac Blanc resort (Alsatian Vosges), located at an altitude of 1,100 meters.
We pass through the Alsatian forest and the Col de la Schlucht, which connects the Vosges to Alsace.
