My summer vacation begins. We head to the Vosges despite the very gloomy and cold weather for end of july.
We arrive at the magnificent Chalet l’Aigle des Neiges, perched high above Lake Gérardmer, with breathtaking views of the lake, the mountains, and the Vosges forests.
Absolute relaxation in the heated swimming pool and sauna of the 5-star Chalet l’Aigle des Neiges, in the heart of the Vosges countryside, on the heights of Lake Gérardmer.
View of Lake Gérardmer (let’s hope the sun comes out!) from the Chalet l’Aigle des Neiges.
I’d never tried “real Swiss raclette” before—not the kind where you melt cheese and ingredients in a pan, but the traditional Swiss version where you slowly heat half a wheel of cheese.
You scrape the surface directly onto the plate, over potatoes, charcuterie, and pickles.
It’s so much better, and best of all, you can choose any cheese, especially not the “industrial” cheese sold in supermarkets!
The perfect cocooning place to relax.
The Chalet des Neiges in Gérardmer, featured in several interior design magazines, blends contemporary design with Vosges tradition, with breathtaking views of the lake and high-end comfort.
