After Torcello, head to Burano by Vaporetto.
It’s clearly the most beautiful village in the Venetian Lagoon!
Colorful houses, an explosion of colors, magnificent canals, pleasant weather, and not too many people (just before noon).
We continue the visit to the magnificent town of Burano, in the Venetian Lagoon: Canals and colorful houses everywhere !
๐๐ฆ๐ค๐๐ Lunchtime
This lunchtime, a typical Venetian meal, “Ai Banky,” in Burano, outside the tourist area. It’s authentic and delicious. I highly recommend it.
– For the starter (antipasto), a mix of cicchetti, Venetian specialties: squid, cuttlefish, sardines, and shrimp skewers.
– For the main course, Fritto Misto with fried fish and seafood (from the lagoon).
Verdict: I highly recommend it. Reservations are recommended or you should arrive early.
Gelateria Crema
A wonderful discovery at the “Gelateria Crema” ice cream parlor in Burano.
A handcrafted “Coppa Balsamico” ice cream with Fior di Latte and, most importantly, balsamic vinegar!
Museo del Merletto : We are now visiting the Burano Lace Museum, which traces the history of lace on the island.
We continue to visit the magnificent alleys and canals of Burano, the most beautiful village in the Venetian lagoon.
As usual, very colorful houses, small shops offering magnificent works of art and Murano glass.
