A day tour of the islands of the Venetian Lagoon !
We left Venice early in the morning by Vaporetto to Torcello, stopping in Murano.
For tickets, I purchased the Unlimited 1-Day Pass (25€) with the “AVM Venezia” app. All you have to do is scan the barcode at each terminal.
I recommend starting in Torcello and leaving early (arriving around 10 a.m.).
This morning, visit Torcello, a small, peaceful island near Venice! It’s home to the Devil’s Bridge (Ponte del Diavolo), cypress trees, plenty of nature, small restaurants and bars serving 100% local produce, and even the throne of the legendary Attila !
I visit the majestic Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta with its incredible Byzantine mosaics (No photos sorry, it’s forbidden here), then I climb to the top of the Campanile to have a breathtaking view of the lagoon
