๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Must-sees of Venice

This morning, I’m visiting the former Jewish ghetto in Cannaregio, one of Venice’s most important districts.
A place steeped in history with its synagogues and narrow streets, it’s also very peaceful, unlike the rest of the city, especially St. Mark’s Square!

Today I discovered the official FC Venezia store (I visit every football store in the cities I visit).

The Bridge of Sighs in Venice (Ponte Dei Sospiri), St. Mark’s Basilica, the Campanile, St. Mark’s Square, and the Doge’s Palace.

Located near the Doge’s Palace, the former State Prison “Palazzo delle Prigioni Nove” traces the judicial history of Venice.
Today, it houses a museum containing the instruments of torture used at the time.
I will not sharing the photos, as special permission is required.

For lunch, enjoy a delicious meal at Osteria Da Gobbi, which offers contemporary, typically Venetian dishes.
A starter, “Sarde in saรณr” (fried sardines seasoned with sweet and sour onions)
A main course, “Fegato alla veneziana”
Only typical Venetian dishes, accompanied by polenta, of course, and simply delicious.

I’m discovering the Venetian history of the Most Serene Venice by visiting the Doge’s Palace and the Prisons.
I booked skip-the-line entry through GetYourGuide on the day (see link below).

I was able to visit the Saint Mark’s Campanile without a reservation (10โ‚ฌ to be paid on site), and have a magnificent 360-degree view of the City and the Lagoon of Venice: the red roofs, the majestic Saint Mark’s Basilica, the islands…

Tonight, I’m attending a classical concert (a first for me; I’m much more of a pop/rock person), but since I’m in Venice…
I booked a ticket on GYG the day before. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons concert at the Vivaldi Church.
Great concert, I’m not posting any photos because it’s not allowed.
