Lunch at the Nevodi Restaurant in Venice.
Krystal oysters and Crudo di Rialto (an assortment of fresh, raw fish from the Fish Market) were delicious !
Followed by grilled octopus with chickpea cream and baked potatoes.
Now we visit St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice. I bought a skip-the-line ticket, otherwise there would be way too much waiting.
Magnificent, both inside and out, especially the Pala d’Oro, a work of art with 3,000 precious stones and 80 enamels inlaid.
You can climb to the top of the Basilica for a great view of St. Mark’s Square.
Take a break at Caffè Florian, in St. Mark’s Square in Venice, a majestic setting.
Founded in 1720 by Floriano Francesconi, it is the second oldest surviving café in the world.
