๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Cinisello Balsamo (Milan)

Here we go (departure 2:15 a.m. from Moselle-Alsace) for another bus trip to Italy to watch the Serie A match between AC Milan and SSC Napoli at the San Siro Stadium.
Once across the Italian border, we’re off for a traditional espresso and a pistachio brioche.

This weekend, we have to change hotels because of Milan Fashion Week, and the rates are increasing…
We’re moving a little further away and booking the Cosmo Hotel Palace in Cinisello Balsamo, the northern suburbs of Milan.
Great hotel, very classy, โ€‹โ€‹and very affordable rates.
The hotel is about 45-50 minutes from the Milan Duomo by public transport.

For lunch, we explored the neighborhood and headed to Restaurant La Forchetta (we were a group of 18, so we arrived on time!).
At first glance, the prices were very reasonable, just 12 euros for a full menu with drinks and coffee.
I personally ordered the full menu, and it was truly delicious!
– Tomatoes and olives
– “Strozzapretti con calamari e vongole,” a fresh, twisted and elongated pasta typical of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, with squid rings and clams
– “Braciola alla griglia,” a grilled pork chop
