Tonight, our first restaurant in Chișinău, Moldova! We hadn’t made a reservation, but it’s highly recommended.
First of all, the venue is MAGNIFICENT, the staff is super welcoming, the atmosphere is fantastic, and Moldovan music is playing tonight.
For this first meal, we asked for several Moldovan specialties, and frankly, they’re delicious and very, very filling, and much cheaper than in France!
We had Plăcintă as a starter, a traditional Romanian, Moldovan, and Ukrainian pastry, and vine leaves.
Several main courses since we wanted to try everything: chicken, vegetables, and roasted peppers. As for drinks, be careful: alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. We had a local Chișinău Blonde Beer, a Moldovan red wine called Fautor – Aurore (Fetească Neagră & Tempranillo), which was truly excellent… then a classic espresso and a Divin Călărași, which you could say is the equivalent of French Cognac.
Verdict : I highly recommend it.

First evening in Chisinau, we’re going to make the most of it, heading to the Grand Parc in the center of the capital, and we’re going to take a trip to the Escobar Cocktail Bar.
