🇲🇩 Chisinau Central Market

This morning we’ll visit a must-see, the Great Open Market (“Piața Centrală”).
It’s huge, 100% local, authentic, you can find everything, and there are no “tourist traps” here! We find everything we need in everyday life, like getting your keys remade or even buying a TV remote… A mix of scents and colors.
The atmosphere is more like a “Souk” or “Bazaar,” but in a Slavic and Soviet style. This contrasts especially with other European capitals.
Here I show you the few photos I took, the Scales (for weighing) with a very retro style, the delicious pomegranate juice (huge) pressed on site, the butchers where the meat and carcasses are cut in front of you, the entrance to the Live Fish Market, and some typical local products: lavash, homemade jams…

Our last visit of the evening in Moldova was a wine tasting at Château de Mimi (Castel Mimi).
Warning: Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume in moderation.
One of the most beautiful wine estates in Eastern Europe, this French-inspired winery offers a refined immersion into the world of Moldovan wine.

Tonight, we’re heading back to Taifas Restaurant in Chisinau! There’s nothing to say about it: it’s perfect, from the food and drinks to the typically Moldovan decor !
