Saturday 30 May 2026, our last morning in the Vosges. We make the most of the Moselle at the L’Île aux 1000 Charmes campsite in the sunshine, before a short walk around the area.
The Monument of Lorraine
Before heading home, a must-stop at the Monument of Lorraine, on the heights above Charmes. A place full of history, crowned by a large Cross of Lorraine, symbol of freedom and of the Resistance. Besides its role as a memorial, the site offers a beautiful view over the region. A Vosges essential.
