Cajun Seafood Boil im Beutel bei Cap't Loui in Koreatown, New York

🇺🇸 New York - Cajun seafood boil at Cap’t Loui in Koreatown

1 min read

Saturday 15 November 2025, in New York. The day before I’d tried my first lobster roll at Cap’t Loui in Koreatown, and I came back for what I really wanted to test: the Cajun seafood boil.

Seafood boil, Louisiana style

The idea comes from Louisiana: the seafood is cooked with Cajun spices, then everything arrives at the table in a big bag, tossed in the sauce. Forget the cutlery, put on a bib and eat with your hands. It’s generous, nicely spicy and nothing like what you eat in France.

Cap’t Loui is a stone’s throw from the Empire State Building, right in the heart of Koreatown. If you’re in New York and you love seafood, it’s something to try at least once, ideally wearing a T-shirt you don’t mind getting dirty.
