On 20 December 2025, an evening at the Schlossberg Christmas market in Forbach. It has become the must-do event of the area.
The Schlossberg all lit up
The market sets up at the foot of the Schlossberg tower, above Forbach. Chalets, lights, a festive mood: plenty to fill an evening, and I shared quite a few videos on Instagram that night.
Oysters, lemon and salted butter
As usual, tonight it’s oysters with lemon, bread and salted butter. My little Christmas market ritual.
Practical info
- Schlossberg Christmas market: on the hill above Forbach, Moselle.
- Reachable by car or on foot from the town centre, it’s uphill.
- Open mainly in the evenings and at weekends during Advent.
