On 25 June 2025, we left Chișinău in the morning, heading for Orhei.
The State Circus and a plane wreck
Leaving town, we pass the Chișinău State Circus, an imposing building with typical Soviet-era architecture. A bit further on, a surprise: a plane wreck sitting by the side of the road.
Practical info
- Orhei and the Orheiul Vechi site: about an hour’s drive north of Chișinău.
- Secondary roads can be in poor condition: allow extra time.
