Die Flamme der Winterspiele Mailand-Cortina 2026 in Mailand

🇮🇹 Milan - The Milan-Cortina 2026 flame, Chinatown and the Campari bar

1 min read

Saturday 7 March 2026, arriving in Italy after a night on the road. And the first thing to do when you arrive in Italy is, of course, a pistachio cornetto with a cappuccino.

The Milan-Cortina 2026 flame and Parco Sempione

Milan is living to the rhythm of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games. We go to see the flame, then walk through Parco Sempione, set up for the occasion with activities open to everyone, below the Sforza Castle.

Chinatown, the century-old Chinese quarter

Next stop, Chinatown, around Via Paolo Sarpi, one of the oldest Chinese quarters in Europe, here for more than a century. A pedestrian street full of restaurants and small shops: a must. I tried two dishes there, can you guess which?

Spritz at the Campari bar in Sesto San Giovanni

In the evening we head to Sesto San Giovanni, north-east of Milan, home of Campari’s historic headquarters. The bar next door was the obvious place to try spritz with my crew, and the Campari museum is right there too.
