Rosa Himmel bei Sonnenuntergang über Ghisonaccia, Korsika

🇫🇷 Corsica - Ghisonaccia farmers’ market and the Immortelle Museum

1 min read

Wednesday 6 May 2026, a day in Ghisonaccia itself. Wednesday morning is market day for Corsican producers, on the football stadium car park, “u stadiu”. Cheese, charcuterie, honey, vegetables: everything comes from the island.

Sashimi at Barny’s

For lunch, a change of style: sushi at Barny’s, an Italian-Japanese spot in Ghisonaccia. Tuna and salmon sashimi, and a tuna tataki of a red you rarely see. Delicious.

The Immortelle Museum

In the afternoon, a visit to the Immortelle Museum. The immortelle, the small yellow flower that grows in the maquis, is Corsica’s fragrant emblem, used in essential oils and cosmetics. Around Ghisonaccia, the fields are in bloom.

Ghiso Beach and the pink sky

End of the day at my new base, Ghiso Beach, then an incredible sunset: the whole sky turns pink above Ghisonaccia. Unedited video, I promise.
