Ein Ferrari F40 im Ferrari-Museum in Maranello

🇮🇹 Maranello - The Ferrari Museum, the Fiorano track and Schumacher’s trophies

1 min read

Friday 22 May 2026, we cross Switzerland into Italy. A fun little stop on the way in Alsace, at the Haut-Koenigsbourg motorway services and its frog park, then our first Italian stop at the Como Autogrill. The best croissant in the world is Italian: a pistachio cornetto.

The Ferrari Museum in Maranello

On to Maranello, near Modena, the birthplace of Ferrari. The Ferrari Museum tells the story of the brand, from road cars to Formula 1. Highlights: the legendary Ferrari F40 and the room of Michael Schumacher’s trophies, the driver of the Scuderia’s most successful era.

The Fiorano test track

Right next door you can see the Fiorano track, Ferrari’s private test circuit, where both road and racing cars are tested.

Dinner in Sesto San Giovanni

In the evening, back towards Milan, to Sesto San Giovanni, for an Italian dinner: raw tuna tartare, then grilled octopus with cime di rapa, the turnip greens typical of southern Italy.
